    You should add “clear:both” on “.twtr-doc” class to solve a display problem in Firefox with the Twitter Goodies widget ;

@mathieuselle GDay mathieuselle. Thanks for suggestion. I’ll include your fix in next release.

Why does the profile pic and sreen name not line up next to each other? The screen name is below the profile pic.

    • http://netcrunched.com/ NetCrunched

GDay Brookwood HOA, I’m also seeing the same on my blog. May be some default CSS conflict. I’ll try to digg more during weekend.

      • http://twitter.com/BrookwoodHOA Brookwood HOA

        Any luck on this issue?

        • http://netcrunched.com/ NetCrunched

Hi Brookwood HOA. I didn’t get time to debug this issue yet.

          • http://twitter.com/BrookwoodHOA Brookwood HOA

Have you been able to figure anything out?

  • Linda

Hi Arpit,  How do I get the profile pics to show?  I’m sure its simple, but I can’t see it.  Great plugin, looks like part of my site.  Linda

    • http://netcrunched.com/ NetCrunched

GDay Linda, profile picture is visible by default for “Profile Widget”.

  • Ronnie Soak

    Hi, thanks for the Plugin!
Just a suggestion: could you make the included content load from a https source (twitter does support https !), if the blog domain is https too? It will produce an ugly warning in modern browsers if unsecured content is embedded into an otherwise encrypted transmission.

I can fix this for my blog by replacing every “http” link in your sources with “https”, cause my site is https only, but others might like to use both.

Also it’s quite annoying to do this with every update.

    Otherwise great work! Thanks again!

    • http://netcrunched.com/ NetCrunched

GDay Ronnie Soak, thanks for your comment. Hmm, never thought about https. I’ll definitely look more into this as I heard this scenario 1st time.

  • Phiip Yim

Does this work with 3.3.1 WP – I just see a bank panel ?

    • http://netcrunched.com/ NetCrunched

Yes. Where are you seeing blank panel?

  • Madoka Ayukawa

    Hello,

in the ‘header’ how can I disable the profile pic and only show the screen name with no url link? This is because the header is too big and I want it small.

  • Cindy C

    Hi!

I love the plugin but I’m having trouble with it now. When I changed the theme for my website the Profile Widget is no longer available for me to add to my sidebar. The only option I have is the Search Widget. I’m using WP 3.3.1

    • http://netcrunched.com/ NetCrunched

GDay Cindy, That means it’s already in use. You may want to check “Inactive Widgets”.

  • Cindy C

    Hi again.

Never mind! Found out what happened.

  • KS

Is there any way to make it display only the most recent 3-5 Twitter udpates and NOT scroll?

    • http://netcrunched.com/ NetCrunched

GDay KS, yes, you can achieve it by using “Twitter Profile widget” with option “Load all Tweets? / Time Interval?” checked. This will load recent tweets.

GDay Paul Horne. Do you still have an issue? Sometimes I also noticed the same. It may be because of twitter API response.

  • Remco

Hi, is it also possible to use a percentage based width somehow? I’m making my website responsive, so a fixed pixel based width won’t do :)

    • http://netcrunched.com/ NetCrunched

GDay Remco. Currently we don’t support % based width.

  • Aconran

    Hi,

Love this widget. It’s the best!
Is there a way to use the widget in two different widget areas? I want to use it in a deferent area on my home page and then back to the side bar for the Pages.
Once I use it in a widget are it is no longer available for selection in another widget area.
    Would appreciate the help.

    Thanks.

    A.

    • http://netcrunched.com/ NetCrunched

Thanks Aconran. Currently we don’t support same widget in two widget area.

  • Warren

    Hi NetCrunched,

Can you advise any way of slowing down the rate of the updates?
Love the plugin, thank you for such an awesome facility :)

    Warren

    • http://netcrunched.com/ NetCrunched

GDay Warren. I believe, Twitter doesn’t provide us your requested option for widget. But do let me know if you see some documentation anywhere.

    Hi NetCrunched

For some reason, the twitter feed works fine in all browsers execept in Firefox. It looks like a spacing issue???? Any ideas?

    • http://netcrunched.com/ NetCrunched

GDay Lam, I couldn’t recreated this issue on Firefox. Do you still have this issue on latest version?

  • Nffc

    Hi,

Is it possible to include dirctly in index.php template this widget?

    • http://netcrunched.com/ NetCrunched

GDay Nffc. Currently we don’t have that option.

  • Jennarramore

Are you having a problem with the widget?  It was working fine but now the background is black and no tweets are being pulled in at all.

    • http://netcrunched.com/ NetCrunched

GDay Jennarramore, sometimes I also see the same behavior. May be feed issue from Twitter itself.

  • lisa

Is there a way to make the logo and company name on the same line?  Those 2 things, plus a big line underneath takes up a lot of room.

    • http://netcrunched.com/ NetCrunched

GDay Lisa, sorry about that but I don’t see any workaround for the same. I also see the same on my blog. I tried changing some CSS settings but no luck.

      • Henna

Can you please do something about it somehow? Its bothering me big time to have the profile pic and the name on separate lines. Otherwise a great plugin. Thanks.

      • http://twitter.com/JAWs_of_Life Jacob Wilson

I wonder if it is a problem with wordpress? Idk. Just a suggestion.

  • http://twitter.com/SurvivingGrady Red

Great plug-in. Is there any chance a future update can include the ability to add multiple Twitter feeds into the timeline?  I’d like to combine two feeds to display. Thanks.

    • http://netcrunched.com/ NetCrunched

GDay Red. We are using official twitter widget API and hence depends on it. I would love to add your request if they support the same.

Hi, I drop this text into a new post  and the profile widget does not appear when I “preview” the post. I’m using WordPress 3.2.1 . Any suggestions how I can get it to work?

  • GR8socialmedia

Is there a way to remove the “Full Name” and just leave the “Screen Name” in the widget? It would really help.

Hi there, i’m afraid we don’t have this option currently.

Hello! In the current version of the plugin you are using an older version of the tweet button and therefore have a tweet button that doesn’t work. I modified the code so it can work with a newer version of the tweet button. The code is as follows:

    ====================

    $final_url2 = ‘Tweet!function(d,s,id){var js,fjs=d.getElementsByTagName(s)[0];if(!d.getElementById(id)){js=d.createElement(s);js.id=id;js.src=”//platform.twitter.com/widgets.js”;fjs.parentNode.insertBefore(js,fjs);}}(document,”script”,”twitter-wjs”);’;

    ====================

Just plug that in at the appropriate location. Thanks for the plugin BTW.

Thanks nes718 for pointing this out. I’ll update the code in next release probably next weekend.

  • Hdwebprovider

If you are using a white background for the border (shell background color) you don’t see the witter logo, because the twitter logo is white also. Where can the twitter logo color be changed/uploaded?

We are unable to get the twitter feed to work properly. When we type in the name of the twitter feed nothing shows up. What do we need to change.

How do i exclude a certain twitter user from the search widget. I have a russian twitter account that floods my feed…

  • Love_my_viola

I’m having the same problem, but my feeds are showing in other browsers but not firefox.

  • Phoenix Olivia

Why is it sometimes the widget words as it’s showing the feeds, then other time (more often than not) there are no feeds, just the black box.  Please help.

  • Amnesty Houston

For some reason, this twitter widget doesn’t look on my website like it does on this website.  Specifically, the header is scrunched up (with the Twitter name and user name) versus here where the Twitter name and User name are on their own separate lines and more evenly spaced out.  Is there a way to fix this in the code?  I  looked around but couldn’t see where it was being addressed.

  • CN

    how can I call the
    Twitter Goodies Profile from PHP?
    Thanks

  • Martisco

This widget works for me, but I really don’t understand the options.  I have a Twitter list I want to display, but when I set it up, it keeps scrolling tweets that are older and older and older.  For example, first it will display a tweet from today, then it will scroll a tweet from yesterday, then a tweet that’s even earlier than that, etc etc… But seems like you’d want to display the OLDEST tweet *first*, and having the newer ones show up, not the other way around, going back and back in time.  Am I doing something wrong?
